Maybe you could talk about why Missions were important in that context, why was it important for students to own and to do it; how did you go about to do it, how did the idea started.

2005 spring I was responsible for three groups in different towns: Siauliai, Panevezys and Klaipeda. In Panevezys we had one student, in Klaipeda – 3, and in Siauliai was the best situation – we had 5 active members and many participants.

So with LKSB team we had problem – what to do with Klaipeda and Panevezys. We where praying that God would show us solution.

And one day we had a meeting with Siauliai student leaders. I decided not participate in this, because my goal was to let them be independent. So I came just in the end of meeting and I was amazed what I sow! They where discussing about LKSB vision – how they could apply evangelism, discipleship and mission! What I could say at that moment? I just sit and started share our LKSB staff situation and thoughts about Klaipeda and Panevezys. And asked maybe they could apply mission and evangelism in that situation.

We did other meeting to plan dates and program, what we could do. First we evaluate that time situation in those towns: in Klaipeda where just three students and they wanted more; in Panevezys was one student and he needed encouragement. Second we brought goals: in Klaipeda we needed somehow invite new students, advertise LKSB and keep them; in Panevezys we thought we could encourage student there.

So 2005 spring student group from active members Siauliai University went to Klaipeda’s University to do evangelistic event. So, students organized lottery, acting and worship.

Next day In Panevezys we leaded worship, share our faith this each other and prayed. This Christian guy was encouraged and they started strong relationship with them.

Preparation for this trip was very good for students. They encouraged and prayed for each other. When we sit in a minibus, we where very united!

In that evening in Klaipeda’s university came two new guys, but, many students could hear about our activity. Some of them where charting about faith things with student, who was leading this lottery.
One of the guy who came that evening was very touched. When we leave in his eyes we sow tears. There’s proof how God loves people! That he answers to deepest needs.

When we came back home was very late. We where talking about our experience. Where sharing our feelings. Everyone where very joyful! We felt that we gate much more than we gave for them. It’s amazing how God fill those who serve for him. We never forget this experience!
Lord is grate! This year Justina (leader from Siauliai group) started to study master in Klaipedas University. So she started serve in LKSB there very much. And now we have 14 students! 11 of them are Christians!!!

We are so encouraged by this story! It shows that we can’t give up when is it difficult times. It seems that just God knows correct time to ripen fruits!
